Delete Your Account
Last updated — 28 August 2026
You can delete your Pathly account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by emailing us if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
This is immediate and needs no waiting.
- Open Pathly and go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account and data are removed straight away. This cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you have already removed the app, or cannot sign in, email us at support@mypathly.io from the address you used to sign up, and ask us to delete your account.
We will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days of receiving your request, subject to any legal retention obligations.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and sign-in credentials — you will no longer be able to log in.
- Your check-ins — every entry you have saved, including how you were feeling, the topic you chose, and anything you typed.
- Your reading history — the record of which verses you have already been shown.
- Your profile — your name, your faith tradition, and your app settings.
What we keep, and why
Two things are not deleted, because neither is linked to you or to any account:
- Anonymous verse feedback. Whether a verse was found helpful, with no identifier attaching it to any person. We use this to improve which verses are shown.
- Anonymous safety counters. Aggregate totals used to keep the app's safety features working correctly.
Neither can be traced back to you once your account is gone.
Before you delete
If you hold a paid subscription, cancel it separately through the App Store or Google Play first. Deleting your Pathly account does not cancel a store subscription, because the billing relationship is with Apple or Google rather than with us.
